Q:  What makes a Carp Productions party different to all the others?

A:  Unlike most party performers, we have two characters for every party, a male and a female.  This means that, not only can we keep the attention of the children at all times – even while hiding treasure bags or setting up magic tricks – but also so that there will always be someone for both the boys and the girls who attend.  Secondly, we have a committed team of actors – who also perform with Carp Productions at schools, kindergartens, library programs and festivals.We can guarantee quality performers at every party.  And most importantly, we take great pride in the look of our shows – the costumes are all updated regularly and created by a professional costume maker.

Q:  What characters do you offer?

A:  We have a wide range of characters popular with children. Have a look at our Children’s Parties page for a full list. You will also look at our Special Themed Parties page, which has additional party options. You can choose any female character with any male character, even a Mermaid and an Alien if you like – they all get along very well!

Q:  What will a Carp Productions party cost me?

A:  With two characters for the price of one, a Carp Productions party is the best value in town!  A one-hour party starts at $195 for 10 children, with $6 for any additional child.  A ninety-minute party, which includes face painting and balloon animals, starts at only $235 for 10 children, with $6 for any additional child.  There may also be a travel fee, depending on the distance we need to cover.

Q:  How far do you travel?

A:  We are happy to book a party anywhere in the Greater Melbourne area, and even as far as Geelong or the entire Mornington Peninsula.  If there’s a map for it in the current Melway, we’re prepared to travel there!  Even with the travel fee, you’ll be getting great value for money.

Q:  How do I book? 

A:  You can send an email to us  either through our email address - at info@carpproductions.com - or through our secure booking form.  Or you can call us.  When booking, we will need you to provide the following information: date and time for the party; address for the party; name and age of birthday child; requested characters; a contact phone number; estimated number of children attending. 

Q:  Is there anything else I need to do?

A:  You will need to provide us with final numbers attending 3 or 4 days before the party.  This allows us to provide the right number of treasure bags.  Please note that it’s best for you to quote the maximum number of children possible so we can provide enough prizes and treasure bags on the day. We will only charge you for the number of children that actually attend on the day. We provide an action packed hour for them, so you can relax and enjoy yourself. 

Q:  Do you have any other tips to ensure the party goes well?

A:  We always suggest that you invite the children at least 15 minutes before the characters arrive.  This ensures no one will miss out on the fun!  We also suggest that, if you choose the ninety-minute party, the food is served during the last half hour.  We work one-on-one with the face painting and balloon animals, so that’s a great time for the children to eat.

Q: What ages do you cater for?

A:   The vast majority of our bookings are for the three to eight year old age range.  If the party is for a one or two year old, it’s best if there are older children present.  We also request that you let us know the age range of the children attending if they are different to the age of the birthday child.  We prepare different entertainment for different ages and, although we are highly flexible on the day, it’s an advantage for us to know the age range in advance.
